IEEE802.11a/n MIMO 2x2 MDF8590N includes one 5GHz radio module. The single band – high selectivity RF circuits, makes it free from interferences. The on-board radio module supports the IEEE802.11n 2x2 MIMO transmit mode, which exploits spatial diversity in order to achieve an extremely high throughput on a single channel.

Data LAN 10/100/1000 port, allows full use of the product rates. This performance is not allowed by Fast Ethernet data port, which limits the performances at only 100Mbps.
Layer2 maximum L2MTU of the Ethernet Interface is 4076. The equipment is suitable to the needs of professional networks, improving VPN and VoIP traffic performances.

QoS support

Mediafeed Plus appliances allow comprehensive bandwidth management. Both the upstream bandwidth and the resources available to each client can be monitored, prioritized and limited as required, in order to obttain the desired Quality of Service levels.
MIMO operation allows the optimization of data rate and throughput by simultaneously using two antennas for transmission. This allows the device to achieve data rates of up to 300 Mbps in IEEE802.11n mode.
